New Membership Renewal
and Signup Process
The information on this page is EXTREMELY important.
It has already been sent to all 2007 members as
an ePanorama. IF you are reading this for the first
time, it likely means that our Secretary does not
have an email address for you, or that we have
the wrong email address, or that your email service
has a spam filter that has prevented you from receiving
messages from IAPP and/or MemberClicks. You may
also be a new member or a person interested in
joining IAPP. Regardless, it is IMPERATIVE that
the Secretary have a current email address for
you and that your service is configured to receive
electronic messages from us. PLEASE take the time
to ensure that this is accomplished.
n the autumn of 2007, IAPP contracted with an Internet-based
membership management company called MemberClicks
(http://www.memberclicks.com)
to take over the primary duties of collecting and
managing dues payment and contact information for
IAPP members.
This means the following: Annual dues, convention
registrations and other payments can be paid by major
credit card, and these transactions will be collected
utilizing the MemberClicks interface on the IAPP
website http://www.panoramicassociation.org.
We will no longer be using PayPal. We will accept
other methods of payment if approved by Stephen Delroy
- IAPP Secretary. He can be reached by telephone
at 917-864-6053 or at iapp_secretary@mac.com.
In addition, each individual member will now be
responsible for inputting and maintaining current
and accurate information about themselves for the
IAPP membership database. This database is on our
website and once a member is registered, they can
add, change or delete information about themselves
at any time. For example, if you have moved or have
changed an email address, you can input that new
information yourself, ensuring that you continue
to receive the Panorama Journal and ePanorama electronic
newsletters. Membership dues will now be collected
on an annual basis and not by calendar year. Your
membership is in good standing for one (or more)
years from the time of payment. An option
is now available to join for 2 or 3 years with an
appropriate discount for multi-year renewals. This
system has already taken effect and can be used immediately.
To illustrate: If you renew between now and February
29, you will receive 4 issues of Panorama in 2008.
If you renew on March 15 for example, you will receive
3 issues of Panorama in 2008 and the first issue
in 2009. Please be mindful of the fact that if your
renewal lapses, as was the case just illustrated,
you WILL NOT receive any back issues you may have
missed, unless you pay for them separately. Based
on the illustration, your membership would still
entitle you to 4 issues of the journal, just not
the first issue of 2008. IAPP will no
longer send Panorama to an expired membership as
we had done in the past. Members therefore, have
an incentive to renew on time.
The process for renewing your membership is:
• Go
to http://www.panoramicassociation.org/home.php
• Click
on JOIN
• You
will be directed to a Profile Information page that is managed by MemberClicks.
• Click
on Login.
• You
will be directed to a page that reads, “Welcome to the International
Association of Panoramic Photographers Online Community!” Please type
in your Username and Password and click on Login.
These
should have already been sent to you electronically
by MemberClicks. If you have not received this, please contact Stephen Delroy,
IAPP Secretary, at iapp_secretary@mac.com.
Upon
logging in, you will see the My Profile page. It
is here that you can see what information is on file for you and is available
for other members to see.
• At
the top of the My Profile page is a link for Membership
Renewal. Please click on this. You will be directed to the Profile Information
page. It is here where you can add, delete or change any and all information
about you. Please be mindful about what information you wish to have public.
IAPP is not responsible for typographical errors, inaccuracies or missing information.
• At
the bottom of the page you are asked to select a
price option. Please click on the price that is appropriate for you and then
click on Submit.
Please note: In order to receive ePanorama and
other electronic announcements, an e-mail address
is required on your profile. If you do not
have one, we encourage you to obtain one, even
if you do not have a computer. There are
many free email services on the Internet that can
be accessed from any computer, anywhere.
Official IAPP email correspondence, as well as electronic
receipts and lost password information will originate
from MemberClicks. For example, a payment receipt
may be sent from forms@memberclicks.com. If
you have one, or have a web host that uses one (such
as Earthlink), please configure your SPAM filter
to accept (or list as a trusted source) all email
being sent from MemberClicks. IAPP cannot be responsible
for email not being received by members if they do
not configure their filter to accept email from MemberClicks.
The use of MemberClicks does place more responsibility
and work in the hands of the individual member, but
it will ensure that the information collected is
correct, that payments are easy and that each person
knows exactly when their membership renewal is due.
Once you have done it once, you will find that MemberClicks
is an excellent, efficient tool and will be of great
benefit to our association. Thank you VERY much!
IAPP needs your support and we wish to make the
joining / renewal process as user-friendly and successful
as possible. IF you encounter difficulties using
the online system that have no easy resolution, then
you are welcome to print out the membership
form (Acrobat pdf file), fill it our legibly, enclose
with a check payable to IAPP, and mail directly to:
D. John McCarthy,
IAPP Treasurer,
568 Main Street,
Wilbraham, MA 01095
USA.
President Dan Rose
Resigns
Mr. Dan Rose resigned as President of IAPP on Sunday,
December 16, 2007. Your Board of Directors has prepared
a letter to the membership on this matter which will
be included in the upcoming issue of Panorama. The
anticipated delivery date for this issue is about
December 31, 2007. IAPP will continue to function
and thrive in 2008 and beyond. As we recover from
this very unfortunate situation with Mr. Rose, let
us work together on getting new members, reclaiming
old members and building a solid foundation for corporate
support. We will be carrying out the planned workshop
in Peyresq, France and the convention in Colorado.
We will get things rolling with the photo contest
for 2008. We will continue to publish Panorama. We
will have a presence at PPA and other events where
contacts can be made and new members hopefully enlisted.
As they say on Broadway, the show must go on. Please
show your support for IAPP by renewing your memberships
as soon as possible. Thank you!
