Segmented and Stitched Images

In this case, it isn't a specific caemra that takes the image. Any camera can be used to take a sequence of images that are then combined to create a single image. A segmented panorama is created by a series of overlapping images. These images are then placed together (or stitched) in a special editing program to form one continuous panoramic image. Prior to the digital age, these images would be mounted together or displayed as a sequence. With the advent of digital techinques, many people are using software to combine several images into a single panoramic view.
